Global Communications Network Co., Ltd. reports that the North Asia Cable System (NACS) Segment 2 experienced a submarine cable fault (OP#19) on September 18, 2024, in the offshore area northeast of Taiwan, resulting in a disruption of communication transmission. The company plans to dispatch the cable ship PETER FABER to carry out system repair operations from October 20 to November 15, 2025.

During the operation period, the vessel will conduct related repair and testing works in the vicinity of the fault area (approximately 24°43.3750′ N, 122°05.2700′ E, at a depth of about 60 meters). The actual schedule may be adjusted according to sea and weather conditions.
