Built in 1904, Tungyin Tao Lighthouse is located on the eastern slope of Tungyin Island, also known as Tungyung Tao, and is the farthest lighthouse from Taiwan. It features 18th-century British architecture with a circular brick structure painted white, and a granite fan-shaped foundation. The lighthouse ceased operation in 1958 due to military reasons,and resumed operation in 1989. It has been designated as a national heritage site.
