Built in 1980, Chilung Tao Lighthouse stands atop Chilung Island, northeast of Keelung Harbor. Designed by Taiwanese, the octagonal concrete tower is painted in vertical black and white stripes and is Taiwan's first solar-powered lighthouse. Located just 4,500 meters from the port, it has become a scenic destination since 1992.
