Yeh Liu Beacon was built in 1967 and located in the north east coast scenic area in Wanli Township, Taipei County. The station was designed to look like a candle stand to concord with the geological sight in Yeh Liu. There is a seating area for visitors under the concrete tripod construction, which received favorable comments internationally. The establishment of this Beacon was due to the surrounding submerged reefs, so the station improved the navigation function of the Keelung Harbor and became an important mark for mariners.
