Built in 1872, Tungchu Tao Lighthouse is situated on the northeastern of Tungchu Island. Designed and constructed by the British, the round stone tower has a cylindrical shape with a 2:3 ratio between the top and the body. It features a Chinese-style arched entrance, square windows, and a maintenance platform adorned with decorative cornices made from lime mortar. It is listed as a national heritage site.
