Built in 1913, located on Chamu Yu, Penghu County, an octagonal brick tower, painted black and white vertical bands. The tower was bombed in World War II and repaired in 1948. Southeast of Chamu Yu has the most dangerous hidden reef, once more than 800 soldiers were drowned due to the ship striking the reef during the Chin dynasty. In high tide, the reef is invisible with rapid current, and the reef is revealed when it’s low tide.
