Through participation in meetings of intergovernmental and non-governmental international organizations, proactive engagement in maritime-related cooperation, and the simultaneous implementation of various regulatory measures, efforts are made to ensure maritime safety, gain international recognition, enhance global integration, and ultimately achieve the goal of joining international organizations.

l   2021.10.21~11.2- During the 51st APEC Transportation Working Group (TPTWG) Meeting, delegates participated virtually in the Maritime Experts Group (MEG) Meeting on October 28 and the Closing Plenary Session on November 2.

l   2021.6.30- Hosted the 110th Maritime Special Topic Conference (topic: post-pandemic recovery in the cruise industry) virtually. The event brought together international organizations and APEC maritime experts from 16 economies, with over 100 participants, to share and exchange insights on the current state of the cruise industry amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

l   2021.3.5~3.25- During the 50th APEC Transportation Working Group (TPTWG) Meeting, delegates participated virtually in the Maritime Experts Group (MEG) Meeting on March 5 and the Closing Plenary Session on March 25.

l   2017.5.7~5.13- Delegates participated in the 30th International Association of Ports and Harbors (IAPH) World Ports Conference.

l   2016.12.14~12.16- Delegates visited the Philippine port authorities and assessed the operations of port operators in Manila Bay and Subic Bay.

l   2015.10.21- Representatives from the Oslo and Kristiansand port authorities, as well as Norway-based company Seafront Logistics, visited the bureau to exchange views on topics including shore power facilities, LNG-fueled ships, and port operation models.

l   2015.9.6~9.11- Delegates participated in the International Chamber of Shipping (ICS) Meeting on September 9 in the capacity of consultants for the Shipowners’ Association.

l   2015.6.1~6.5- Attended the 29th World Ports Conference held at the Port of Hamburg, Germany.

l   2015.5.25~5.30- Delegates presented a report to APEC on the implementation of green ports and the ISPS code for port security in Taiwan.

l   2014.4.1~4.5- Participated in the 39th Transportation Working Group Meeting, specifically the Maritime Security Sub-group Meeting, held in Christchurch, New Zealand.

l   2014.2.26- The Executive Director for the Port of Corpus Christi, John LaRue, along with three others, visited the bureau to present the port’s development plans and engage in discussions.

l   2013.10.2- Arranged by the Department of European Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, a senior EU civil servant delegation led by Michel Soula, NATO's Deputy Assistant Secretary-General and Director of Operations, visited the Ministry of Transportation and the bureau to discuss maritime security topics, including anti-piracy cooperation.

l   2013.9.5- Representatives from the American Institute in Taiwan and officials from the U.S. Coast Guard visited the bureau to exchange views on port facility security topics.

l   2013.7.1~7.5- Participated in the 38th Transportation Working Group Meeting, specifically the Maritime Security Sub-group Metting, held in Bali, Indonesia.
