IMO海事安全委員會第108屆會議於2024年5月15日至24日召開會議，本屆會議重點項目如下：

一、 加強海上安全，包括紅海安全的措施(MSC.564(108))；

二、 更新制定非強制性的《海上自主水面船舶國際章程》(International Code for of Safety for Maritime Autonomous Surface Ships, MASS Code)的路徑圖；

三、 持續制定安全監管框架，以支持使用新技術和替代燃料的船舶減少溫室氣體排放；

四、 修訂《海事網路風險管理準則》(Guidelines on maritime cyber risk management)(MSC-FAL.1/Circ.3/Rev.3)；

五、 通過相關訓練要求，以解決海事部門的暴力和騷擾問題(MSC.560(108))；

六、 通過漁船人員訓練和發證的修訂《漁船船員培訓、發證和當值標準公約》(International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Fishing Vessel Personnel, STCW-F)和新的STCW-F章程(Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Fishing Vessel Personnel (STCW-F) Code)(MSC.561(108)、MSC.562(108))，預計於2026年1月1日生效；

七、 批准《漁船人員體檢準則》(Guidelines on the medical examination of fishing vessel personnel)(MSC.1/Circ.1678)；

八、 通過《海上人命安全國際公約》(International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea, SOLAS)修正案，將對緊急拖曳裝置(emergency towing devices)的要求擴大至所有總噸位超過20,000的新船舶，修正案預計於2028年1月1日生效(MSC.549(108))；

九、 通過SOLAS公約和《消防安全系統國際章程》(International Code for Fire Safety System, FSS Code)的修正案，以加強滾裝客船的消防安全，修正案預計於2026年1月1日生效(MSC.555(108))；

十、 根據《國際船舶使用氣體或其他低閃點燃料安全章程》(International Code of Safety for Ship Using Gases or Other Low-flashpoint Fuels, IGF Code)的應用經驗，通過了天然氣作為燃料的IGF章程修正案(MSC.551(018))；

十一、批准SOLAS公約第II-1章中關於電力和機器裝置的目標和功能要求(MSC.1/Circ.1212/Rev.2)；

十二、批准《使用液化石油氣作為燃料臨時準則》(Interim guidelines for use of LPG cargo as fuel)(MSC.1/Circ.1679)；

十三、批准《國際船舶載運散裝液化氣體構造及設備章程》(International Code of the Construction and Equipment of Ships Carrying Liquefied Gases in Bulk, IGC Code)修正案草案，以便在氨運輸船上使用氨作為燃料。
